- To remove the wax on the surface, apply hot water.

- Using a scrubbing brush and hot water, scrape off the varnish from all over the item.

- Be careful when removing the varnish from older items as it is harder to remove the older it gets.

- After washing, lay the item out in the sun and allow it to dry slowly.

- Repair any damaged areas or split baseplates.
-

- The completely washed surfaces are planed and, afterwards, polishing powder (powdered soil from Yamashina, Kyoto) is applied.

- We use 100% natural paints. All paints are mixed on-site at our company.

- The wood is dressed using "uzukuri". (A summer and winter undulation is applied.)

- Waxing is done to remove the polishing powder on the surface.

- By waxing, the luster and texture of the wood is brought out.
